Camp Sonshine

At Camp Sonshine, our incredible Maryland summer day camps for kids and teens ages three through completing tenth grade are designed to provide a truly remarkable and unforgettable experience for our campers. Over the course of 11 weeks, Camp Sonshine combines ridiculous amounts of fun with meaningful moments that kids remember, making us one of the best summer camps in Maryland. From our Incredibly Fun Activities like go-karts, swimming, field trips, and overnighters, to our innovative programming, we strive to give each camper an unforgettable and Safe Summer.

Core Camps
If you’ve ever been to summer camp, you know of the incredible fun to be had and the unforgettable memories and friendships to be made. Our Core Summer Camps are age-appropriate and offer a remarkable mix of group time, a wide selection of On-Grounds Activities, water games and field trips. We also offer opportunities for teen campers to gain practical leadership experience.

Specialty Camps
Could your child be the next Picasso, or perhaps the next Bear Grylls? From coding to painting, or trekking through the woods, your child will get to dive deep and enjoy the benefit of focused exploration in our Specialty Camp Programs!

SILVER SPRING CAMP
Our Silver Spring grounds are nestled on 25 acres of wooded land, open fields, and flowing streams in the suburbs right outside of Washington, D.C. This location has been serving children and families for over 35 years. With an average of over 1,500 campers annually, our Silver Spring location is our largest (and oldest) campsite in Maryland.

GERMANTOWN CAMP
Camp Sonshine Germantown (GT), founded in 1992, is centrally located to best serve the surrounding areas of Germantown, Boyds, Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, Damascus and the like. Because of its location, Camp Sonshine GT has had the unique opportunity to get connected and integrated into the local communities, allowing for a close-knit, community feel.

OLNEY (SPECIALTY CAMPS)
All of our Specialty Camps are located on the expansive grounds of our location in Olney, Maryland. Sitting on several acres of wooded land and open fields, our Olney grounds provide sufficient space for exploring, field sports and so much more!
