Dance Place Virtual Classes

Founded in 1980, Dance Place builds a community of artists, audiences and students through high quality performances, commissions, training and educational programs. We are committed to enriching the field of dance locally, nationally and internationally. Our thriving arts campus serves as an anchor in our Brookland / Edgewood neighborhood in Washington, DC.

Dance Place offers a year-round weekend dance performing series highlighting diverse artists in a variety of dance genres such as modern dance, African Dance, tap dance, performance art, hip-hop and spoken word. Our series supports companies in Washington, DC as well as throughout the United States and abroad.

Foot in the Door
Drop-in to our new Foot in the Door classes! This Winter/Spring, classes will be held on Thursdays at 7:15pm at Dance Place.

This series of mixed-level adult classes will be led by three up-and-coming guest artists in the DMV, each offering three consecutive weeks of class. We’re delighted to introduce our community to a broader range of local artists, as well as give those artists the opportunity to get a foot in the door (get it!?) as a teacher in the DC dance scene.

This Winter/Spring, our Foot in the Door teachers are Dylan Lambert, Jamison Curcio & Sarah Foucher, Amber Chabus, and Patricia “Patty” Mullaney-Loss. Each teacher will lead four weeks of class starting on Thursday, February 3rd. Learn more about the teachers and their classes below. Click here to register for class through our full schedule on MindBody.

If you’d like to be a teacher in our Foot in the Door program please email us at adultclasses@danceplace.org.
