Ideaventions

Ideaventions Academy for Mathematics and Science is a fully-accredited, independent school for the gifted offering grades 4th–12th, where passionate teachers help intellectually-curious students with an interest in math and science pursue their interests as part of a lively community ​and through engaging experiences.

Ideaventions offers hands-on, small group, STEM camps that are taught by professional and experienced educators, scientists and engineers. Camps combine lab work, outdoor exploration and computing and robotics around different themes for the youngest students, while those grades 7-9 participate in research academies building or doing experiments each day on advanced topics. High schoolers can take summer courses in language arts, test preparation, and history.

Ideaventions provides community programs that are innovative, outside-of-school STEM experiences for families and children. Founded in 2009 as “Ideaventions,” our STEM programs are open to the community and pre-date the start of Ideaventions Academy for Math and Science. Our mission endures as a leader and innovator in STEM education–providing unique STEM programs to the community and inspiring the next generation of innovators.

Camps for kids ages 6-17

Each summer, returning and incoming students and their families gather in a series of summer social events to build and strengthen our community.

Summer Socials
The extraordinary community at Ideaventions Academy is foundational and it starts in the summer. Each year we organize a series of Summer Socials; events for new and returning students, teachers and families to connect informally while appreciating natural areas, playing games, or visiting historical sites. We meet each other and form bonds as we join in activities and events.

Summer Travel
At the end of each year, students and families may choose to take part in an annual, week-long field trip that exposes students to different experiences, environments, and, some years, different countries. While learning and preparing for the independence of college, students live together in a new environment alongside teachers, while eating, learning, and exploring new places and topics.
