The Langley School

The Langley School believes that there truly is something for everyone at the Langley School’s Summer Studio, with dozens of classes on a multitude of subjects. With nearly 100 classes, the summer program offers sessions on science, food and cooking, sports and games, visual and performing arts, technology and robotics, design and engineering, travel and the environment, and more.

We are founded upon a deep appreciation for childhood, and an abiding belief in the necessity and power of parent/teacher partnership, The Langley School offers an exceptional community and an individually attuned academic program, proving both to be mutually reinforcing and equally essential.

The Langley School is located on a beautiful 9.2-acre campus in McLean, Virginia. Your child learns, plays, and grows in these state-of-the-art facilities:

– Middle School building specifically designed for grades 6-8
– Discovery-focused science labs, computer labs, and an innovation lab
– Artificial turf athletic field
– Arts center featuring a multi-purpose auditorium
– 20,000-volume library
– 24,000-square-foot athletic center with two gyms
– Two playgrounds
– Tricycle track
– Wooded nature area
– Outdoor gardens that also serve as classrooms
– Classroom in the Sky with a “green” roof

For kids in preschool through middle school

Transportation
Round-trip or one-way bus service is available, including mid-day transportation for preschool and junior kindergarten students. The school also provides an after-school activities bus at 5:00 p.m.

Extended day programs
Langley offers several options to extend the school day. Preschool and junior kindergarten students may attend The Leopard Spot until 2:50 p.m., while Club E.D. is available from 3:00-6:00 p.m. daily for all students.
