Classes include classical ballet technique, pointe work, variations, men’s technique, pas de deux, flamenco, jazz, contemporary, body conditioning, and student choreography.

Level placement is determined the first day of the summer program. Students will be placed in an appropriate level determined by age and technical ability. Adjudicators responsible for summer student placement are TWSB full-time faculty.

Students are accepted into The Washington School of Ballet’s NW Campus Summer Intensive by attending an in-person audition on our upcoming tour OR submitting a video audition. Students attending our summer program who are also interested in enrolling in the 2023-2024 school year will be evaluated during summer classes. They do not need to attend a separate audition.

Students currently enrolled in TWSB’s school year DO NOT need to audition; they will enroll for the Summer Intensive at their current level. Current TWSB parents, please check your Parent Portal for registration in early 2023.
